Individually, we’re passionate about healthcare. Collectively, we’re transforming it.

Some of us are doctors. All of us are patients.

We work together to create the kind of healthcare we want for ourselves—and know is possible.

Bright.md is more than a tech company. We are a group of people devoted to transforming healthcare delivery. We’re empathetic, driven by passion, know how to put technology to work, and eager to make healthcare better for everyone.

How we’ve already become the top asynchronous telehealth solution

2014 — 2015

Founding and alpha product release

Bright.md was founded and incorporated by veteran software and digital health entrepreneurs Mark Swinth and Dr. Ray Costantini. We developed, tested, and released our alpha product, and secured seed funding.

2016 — 2017

Product release and recognition

We launched our first commercial product release and installation. Then we beat out more than 50 other providers to be unanimously selected by major health systems as the AVIA best virtual care solution. Gartner named us a "Cool Company" and identified SmartExam as the top solution in their new Care Automation category. We secured Series B funding.

2018 & Beyond

Helping connect more patients and providers

We’re growing with new and existing partners to expand healthcare access to patients throughout the U.S. and Canada. We’re always adding evidence-based clinical content so you can deliver care for more than 400 common conditions.

A bright idea will only take you so far

You need the right people to make it reality
